Sessions for newborn babies
Capturing your baby’s first few days
Photographing your newborn is wonderful way to capture those first few days. Newborn photography sessions take place in the comfort of my studio at Paxcroft Farm, Hilperton, and focus on creating timeless images of both your newborn
and you all together as a family.
The ideal time for a newborn photography session is when your baby is between 5 and 14 days, so they are still in that really sleepy stage. However, newborn sessions can be booked for babies up to 6 weeks.
What to Expect During Your Newborn Photography Session
Bringing your new baby to the studio should feel calm, relaxed, and enjoyable. My newborn photography sessions are designed around comfort, safety, and creating beautiful, natural images that celebrate this short, precious stage of life.
A warm, welcoming studio
When you arrive, you’ll find the studio cosy, peaceful and heated to the perfect temperature to keep your baby comfortable and sleepy. There’s space for you to feed, change, relax, and simply enjoy the experience.
Baby-led posing
Your baby is always in charge. I work gently and patiently, following their cues and moving slowly so they stay settled. Whether they’re sleepy, wide awake, or somewhere in between, I tailor the flow of the session to suit them.
A relaxed pace
Newborn sessions typically last around 2–3 hours, giving us time for feeds, cuddles, and settling breaks without any pressure or rush. You can sit back with a cuppa while I create a gallery full of soft, timeless images.
Beautiful props and styling
I provide wraps, blankets, outfits, and simple props in soft, neutral tones that photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your baby. You’re also welcome to bring anything personal or meaningful.
Parents and siblings welcome
If you’d like family images, we’ll capture natural, loving photographs with parents and siblings – these are often the favourites!
Packages
Newborn packages
A £75 session fee is required upon booking to secure your newborn session, which covers your shoot and putting together your preview gallery. The session fee does not include any digital or printed images, but will be deducted from the value of the package you choose after you have chosen your images.
Around two weeks after your session, you’ll receive a preview gallery so that you can choose your favourite images and purchase your package.

- Five high-resolution digital files with full print licence, plus matching 6×8 prints
- Online gallery to download your chosen images and share with family and friends
Collection two – £275
- Pre-consultation by phone or at my studio
- Newborn session at my studio, lasting up to three hours
- Full use of backdrops, props and outfits
- Ten high-resolution digital files with full print licence, plus matching 6×8 prints
- Online gallery to download your chosen images and share with family and friends
Collection three – £325

- Newborn session at my studio, lasting up to three hours
- Full use of backdrops, props and outfits
- Fifteen high-resolution digital files with full print release, plus matching 6×8 prints
