Sessions for sitting babies
Beautiful milestone baby photography
Your baby’s personality really begins to shine around the 6–12 month stage. At this point they have big smiles, funny expressions, wobbly sitting and those adorable little rolls. A sitter or older baby photography session is the perfect way to capture this wonderful milestone before they’re on the move.
These sessions celebrate your baby exactly as they are right now. Their expressions are full of character! Whether you love classic, simple portraits or want a gallery filled with joyful, natural moments, I’ll create images you’ll treasure for years.

What Are Sitter Photoshoots?
Beautiful milestone baby photography
My sitter and older baby photography sessions take place in my warm, welcoming studio at Paxcroft Farm in Hilperton. It’s ideally located for families from Wiltshire, Bath, Somerset, Frome and Trowbridge. The sessions are relaxed, baby-led and filled with fun, so your little one feels safe and happy throughout.
If your baby is sitting confidently (with no support), this stage is perfect for capturing beautifully engaging portraits. We’ll use soft, neutral tones and carefully chosen props to keep the focus on your baby’s expressions and personality.

Sitter & Older Baby Photography FAQs
What age is best for a sitter session?
Most babies are ready between 6–10 months, once they can sit confidently without support. If you’re unsure, just get in touch. I’m happy to advise.
How long does the session take?
Around 45–60 minutes. I always allow extra time so we can work calmly and never rush your baby.
What should my baby wear?
Soft, neutral, simple outfits work best. Personally, I love creams, whites, pastels and natural textures. You’re welcome to bring a few options, and I also have a small client wardrobe available.
Can parents or siblings be in the photos?
Absolutely. While the session focuses on your baby, I’m always thrilled to capture pictures with parents and siblings too!
What if my baby is teething or having an off day?
It happens! If your baby is unwell or very unsettled, we can easily reschedule. Happy babies make the best photos.
Where is the studio?
My baby photography studio is at Paxcroft Farm in Hilperton. It’s easy to reach from Trowbridge, Frome, Bradford-on-Avon, Bath, Somerset and across Wiltshire.
Do you use props?
Yes, but always in a simple, timeless way. My props are soft, neutral and chosen to keep the focus on your baby rather than distracting backgrounds.
How soon will we see the photos?
Your gallery will be ready around 1–2 weeks after your session. You’ll then be able to select your images and any prints or wall art you’d like.
