Thank you for booking your studio session with me! I look forward to welcoming you to the studio. Here’s a bit more information for you so you know a little more about what to expect.
About the studio
The studio is based at Paxcroft Farm just outside the Village of Hilperton, a couple of miles from Trowbridge, Bradford on Avon and Melksham. The environment is comfortable and friendly, along with having everything you need for your session. I have a selection of props and backdrops available to use during your session. You can find out more about the studio here.
What should I wear?
If possible, it’s best to wear neutral or plain colours that are pattern and logo free, so that the attention is focused on you. If it is possible, it’s best for everyone to arrive wearing similar colours (they don’t have to be matching, just have a think about coordinating in advance if you can). You are welcome to bring a couple of changes of outfit if you’d like – there is space to change at the studio if required.
An important thing to mention is shoes – I do usually ask clients to be photographed shoeless – ideally barefoot – as aesthetically this works really well. However, if you’d prefer to keep shoes or socks on, please ensure they are all matching, neutral colours (ideally dark) and pattern free if possible.

Newborns and babies
If you are bringing a newborn in as part of a family session, the clothing guidance is very similar to adults and older children. I ask that parents can bring some simple white, cream or beige vests or footless babygrows with them if you have them, especially if you have an older newborn. Footless items are best if possible.

Backdrops and colours
I usually use a selection of neutral cream / grey backdrops or darker greys / autumnal browns, wooden floors and props. If there are any other colours you’d prefer, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate.
What else do I need to bring?
Anything you need to keep you comfortable during the shoot. I have tea and coffee making facilities at the studio if required, and room to change if you decide to bring more than one set of clothes for your shoot.
Getting to the studio and parking
There is plenty of onsite parking at Paxcroft Farm, either directly opposite the studio, or at busier times of the day a few seconds walk away outside the units on the other side of the field. There is ramp access available at my studio, if needed you can park directly by the ramp in order to access this. Please park considerately and be careful not to block any other units or cars.
For directions, please visit the About Me page and scroll down to the section about the studio.
