Christmas mini sessions are a perfect way to capture some lovely seasonal photographs of your children. The images are perfect for creating wall art to hang in your home, for Christmas cards and for gifts for relatives.
Christmas mini sessions take place in my studio at Unit 19B, Paxcroft Farm, Hilperton BA14 6JB. There is plenty of parking right outside the studio, and easy access for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Please have a look at my contact page for directions of how to get to the studio.
They will feature two sets, one outdoor snowy courtyard set and one indoor warm and cosy Christmas room set (please see below for example images).
What to expect at your session
The session will last 20-30 minutes, with the aim of getting a three or four different images for each set. There is room on both sets for parents too if you’d like to be photographed with your children, and there will be time in between to change outfits if you’d like.
Set one: Outdoor Snowy Courtyard set

There are a few different options that I’d suggest for the sets this year. For the outdoor scene, I’d recommend reds, dark greens and navy blues (see colour chart below), and avoid too many busy patterns. Boots / outdoor shoes are a must for this set, and warm outdoor clothes, hats and scarves would work well too! You might want to opt for a jumper or cardigan rather than a coat to avoid it looking too bulky. Please bring clean outdoor footwear for wearing in the snow.

Set two: indoor Christmas room set
For the Christmas room scene, Christmas PJs in red, green, cream (checked or plain) would work really well, or trousers with a warm jumper. Bare feet is also a good idea for this scene, alternatively, matching socks in a plain colour are also fine.
The most important thing though is that your children feel comfortable and happy in what they’re wearing, so please do bare that in mind also!
